dpi21’s very own Michael Cain has spent November growing a moustache to help change the face of men’s health.
Since 2004, the Movember Foundation has been using men’s faces worldwide as walking billboards for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer.
Michael decided to take part and grow his own face fur to raise funds for this worthy cause.
“I wanted to take part in Movember because it’s a fun and innovative way of raising funds.
“Guys are rubbish at getting themselves checked out, so it's also about raising awareness.”
Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces in the UK and around the world in November.
The Movember campaign raises vital funds and awareness for men’s health, such as prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men.
Last year more than 110,000 British “Mo Bros” took part in Movember. According to Ric Boullemier from UK Movember, this figure has doubled for 2011.
Celebrities who are taking part this year include George Michael, Jenson Button, Ray Wilkins and Gary Lineker - all of whom are attempting the Lord Lucan-style lip slugs.
Stephen Fry is also taking part, vowing to re-create the impressive walrus he sported as Lord Melchett in Blackadder.

Always remember Movember’s key message: “Never disrespect a Mo Bro's moustache. A man doesn't grow the moustache, the moustache grows the man.”
